The Tamil Nadu Finance and Human Resource Development Minister, BDR Palanivel Thiagarajan, commented on the resolution made by Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami regarding the TNPSC Group 4 exam controversy. The debates on the budget are currently ongoing after the General Budget and Agriculture Budget were presented in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. On Monday, Palaniswami brought up a resolution to draw attention to the malpractice in the TNPSC examination. He said that more than 700 candidates from a private coaching center in Karaikudi and 2000 candidates from a coaching center in Tenkasi have passed the examination. Palaniswami emphasized the need for the government to act on this issue. In response, Minister Thiagarajan said that an explanation was sought from TNPSC officials as soon as the complaint was raised. He assured that appropriate action would be taken if there is any confusion. Over 40 candidates gathered at the TNPSC office in Chennai because their examination results have not been published, and their answer sheets were not eligible for revision.

Today (Monday), Leader of the Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly brought a resolution to draw attention to the controversy that there was malpractice in the TNPSC examination.

Speaking at that time, the Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami said, “In the TNPSC Group 4 examination, the candidates with subsequent registration numbers who studied in certain coaching centers have been successful. More than 700 candidates who studied in a private coaching center in Karaikudi, Sivagangai district have passed. 2000 candidates from a coaching center in Tenkasi have passed.

A huge malpractice has taken place in the matter of Group 4 examination. The government should pay attention to this and take immediate action. Because the issue of malpractice in the Group 4 examination has created a lot of confusion among the candidates,” he said.

Minister Answer: Responding to this in the Legislative Assembly, Minister of Finance and Human Resource Development PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan said, “As soon as the complaint of Group 4 land surveyor examination malpractice was raised, an explanation was sought from the TNPSC officials. An explanation was sought through the Human Resource Development Secretary as to whether there was any malpractice in the examination. “If there is confusion, appropriate action will be taken,” he said.

In this case, more than 40 candidates have gathered in front of the TNPSC office in Chennai. They said that their examination results have not been published and they have been informed that their answer sheets are not eligible for revision, so they have filed a petition seeking an explanation.
