    <p>
        Reactions have been sparked by a video of the Deputy Minister of Development, <strong>Zoe Rapti</strong>, dancing at a party on a boat in Astypalaia, <strong>amid the major fire in Northeast Attica.</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
        Specifically, the video published by dnews.gr is said to have been recorded <strong>on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 13,</strong> just one day after the fire and before it was brought under full control, on one of the boats that cruise to the inaccessible beaches of Astypalaia.
    </p>

    <p>
        According to the publication, "the Deputy Minister of Development boarded the boat, which had about 50 passengers, along with another friend and the company of an elected official from the South Aegean region."
    </p>

    <p>
        In the video, Ms. Rapti (MP for North Athens, which includes areas like Chalandri, Vrilissia, and Pendeli, which were burning at that time) <strong>can be seen dancing on the boat to the sounds of the song "There is one essence".</strong>

    <h3>SYRIZA: Shame on the Argives...</h3>

    <p>
        <strong>The response from SYRIZA was immediate,</strong> with a statement commenting on the video featuring Zoe Rapti and reminding about the case of Eastern Attica MP, Vasilis Oikonomou, who was enjoying himself at a club in Rhodes.
    </p>

    <p>
        "Mr. Mitsotakis, during his visit to the fire-affected areas of Northeast Attica, ten days after the huge fire, chose to be accompanied by Vasilis Oikonomou and Zoe Rapti, exceeding every limit of provocation.

    </div>

    <p>
        How else can one characterize this choice, which evidently aimed at the… absolution of sins for the two government members, as at the time of the fire Ms. Rapti, Deputy Minister of Development and MP for North Athens, was dancing on a boat in an Aegean island, while Mr. Oikonomou, MP for Eastern Attica, was enjoying himself at a club in Rhodes?
    </p>

    <p>
        <strong>The arrogance is "off the charts". Shame on the Argives...</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
        A statement was also issued by the <strong>New Left</strong>, stating: <strong>"Ms. Rapti, who was partying while Attica was burning, must resign.</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
        One day after the outbreak of the devastating fire in Attica, and while the flames were still burning uncontrollably, the Deputy Minister of Development Ms. Rapti was partying on a boat cruising in Astypalaia according to a report by dnews.
    </p>

    <p>
        The provocative and insensitive behavior of government officials is not something unprecedented. However, we will not accept that it is normalcy.
    </p>

    <p>
        Ms. Rapti, who yesterday accompanied the Prime Minister to the show in Penteli, must immediately submit her resignation."
    </p>

    <p>
        It is worth noting that on Tuesday, August 20, <strong>Ms. Rapti accompanied Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis</strong> to the National Observatory of Athens, which was in danger of being reduced to ashes by the fire.
    </p>

    <p>
        In a post after the visit, the Deputy Minister noted that "we will act immediately for the restoration of the vegetation and further strengthening of the fire protection of these very important research facilities."
    </p>
