jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) ensures that the Free Nutritious Meal Program from President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka can use local food.

Head of the Food Crop Processing Substance Group (Kapoksi) of the Directorate of Food Crop Processing and Marketing (PPHTP) of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Food Crops, Ministry of Agriculture, Mulyono said that in relation to the activities of the Directorate General of Food Crops, especially in terms of increasing production in 2025 for the programs of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, this must be anticipated in such a way by them.

“One of them is the provision of free nutritious food, we must respond to this later in terms of responding to the need for free nutritious food, of course for sufficient production it must come from within the country, later we will certainly prepare rice, soybeans, tofu, vegetables and meat, all of which must be met from within the country,” said Mulyono in Jakarta, Tuesday.

According to him, the food production target in 2025 includes 56.05 million tons of rice, 28 percent corn 22.59 million tons, soybeans 350 thousand tons, sweet potatoes 1.57 million tons, peanuts 351 thousand tons and green beans 166 thousand tons.

“If we talk about 2025, we are targeting approximately 56 million tons for dry milled rice, as well as corn approximately 22 million tons, then soybeans, cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, green beans are also our concern in terms of meeting domestic food needs,” he said.

For information, Indonesian Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati allocated a budget for the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) of IDR 71 trillion in the 2025 State Budget Draft (RAPBN).

The MBG program is one of the priority programs of the president and vice president elect Prabowo-Gibran.

Sri Mulyani detailed that the implementation of the MBG Program will be carried out in stages, with the allocation of IDR 71 trillion being the budget for the first year.

The Ministry of Agriculture ensures that Prabowo-Gibran’s free lunch program can use local food.
