Any region of Russia could do without migrants at construction sites, but for this it is first necessary to train personnel, said the head of the Ministry of Construction Irek Fayzullin.
“Of course, every region would be ready to work without them. But you need to prepare well for this, train personnel – and only those who are ready to move on to work on their own. You can’t do it in one day, ”Mr. Fayzullin told RIA Novosti.
The minister added that reducing the number of migrants is “not a one-day procedure.” “This is connected with the growth of labor productivity and training,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in recent months, the number of fights in Moscow has increased, including with the participation of visitors from neighboring countries. In August, the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that hundreds of thousands of migrants from the CIS countries are arriving in Moscow for the purpose of employment. Most of them, he said, behave in a law-abiding manner, but, “unfortunately, not all.” In November, the mayor called for a reduction in the number of labor migrants at construction sites.
