by time news

The Ministry of Digital Transformation in Ukraine is working on expanding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in other areas of military innovation. The ministry is inviting teams that can contribute to strengthening the Armed Forces in terms of technology to cooperate with them.

Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science, and Technology, Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov highlighted this initiative during his speech at the iForum IT conference in Kyiv. He mentioned that a technological revolution has already begun in the field of UAVs in the past year through the Army of Drones project. The project has eliminated bureaucracy for businesses, increased profit margins to 25%, and streamlined commissioning procedures. Some Ukrainian companies have witnessed a significant increase in UAV production as a result.

However, Fedorov emphasized that more needs to be done to win the war. He called on all individuals and organizations involved in technology to contribute their potential for the benefit of Ukraine’s defense forces. The focus now is to scale the successful experience in the field of UAVs to other areas of military innovation, including launching an E-warfare Army and an Army of Robots.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is open to cooperating with anyone who can assist in strengthening the country’s front in terms of technology. The Ukrainian government has already allocated UAH 40 billion this year for investment in domestic drone production.

This move by Ukraine reflects their commitment to leveraging technological advancements to enhance their defense capabilities. With the support of both local and international teams, the country aims to further develop its military technology and improve its Armed Forces.
