The Ministry of Electricity announced today, Wednesday, the success of its plan for the Ashura visit.

A statement by the ministry – received by the (INA) – said: “The Ministry of Electricity’s special plan for the Ashura visit succeeded, as energy was provided 24 hours a day in the holy Karbala during the visit.”

The statement added, “The production of the holy Karbala Governorate was increased by (1612) megawatts, (85) fixed and mobile stations with a voltage of (33/11) and (132) kV were operated, and (140) feeders with a voltage of (33/11) kV were created.”

He pointed out that “(1,500) engineers and technicians were deployed, (230) specialized mechanisms were deployed, (23) maintenance centers participated, and spare parts and equipment were provided.”

According to the statement, Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadhil, confirmed that “the success of our plan is thanks to the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and his continuous support for the Ministry of Electricity to carry out its duties.”
