The Economic Observatory of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation publishes the Puglia trade exchange cardupdated to the second quarter of 2024.
In the second quarter of 2024, total trade in Puglia is equal to 10,256 million euros (-5.8% compared to the period January-June 2023), which represents 1.7% of the Italian total. Exports are equal to 4,953 million euros (-1.3%), their Apulian share of the national total is 1.6%. Imports are equal to 5,303 million euros (-9.6%), 1.8% of the national total.
The trade balance is -350 million euros, a year ago in the same period it was -844 million.
The main destination countries for exports from the region are confirmed as Germany (15.5%), the United States (10.7%) and France (9.8%), although with different percentages; while the countries of origin for imports from the region are Germany (14.2%), Spain (8.5%) and China (7.3%).
