By decision of the Minister of Tourism, Olgas Kefalogiannis, a Working Group for LGBTI+ tourism was established at the Ministry of Tourism.
The task of the Working Group is to coordinate the services of the Ministry in the context of the implementation of the projects of Goal II of the NAP 2024: “Promoting the equality of LGBTI+ people” as well as the formulation and coordination of the implementation of policies and actions of the Ministry for the development and promotion of LGBTI+ tourism. Experts in the field, representatives of interested parties and co-competent bodies can be invited and participate in the meetings of the Working Group.
The members of the Working Group are as follows:
– Georgios Papatzanis, seconded employee at the Minister’s Office, as Coordinator.
– Stavroula Kefala, Head of Research Directorate of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member.
– Angeliki Michalopoulou, Head of the Coordination Service of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member.
– Athina Babakou, Head of the Strategic Planning Directorate of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member.
– Maria Kritharioti, Head of the Tourism Policy Planning Department of the Directorate of Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member.
– Maria Kiamou, Head of the Quality Control and Quality Standards Development Department of the Quality Standards Directorate of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member.
– Themelina Kavoukli, Head of the Educational Unit Support Department of the Directorate of Tourism Education and Training, as a member.
– Alexandra Kapsokavadi, employee of the Department of Tourism Policy Planning, of the Directorate of Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Tourism, as a member
– Eleftheria Fili, Head of the Audiovisual Media Department of the Directorate of Tourism Promotion of the EOT, as a member.
– Vassilis Karamitsopoulos, Advisor at the Financial Office of the General Secretariat of the Prime Minister.
– Apostolos Karabairis, Thessaloniki Pride representative & Europride event coordinator.
– Athanasios Vlachogiannis, Expert on LGBTI+ issues.
– Lambrina Vetsopoulou, Expert on LGBTI+ issues.
– Nikoleta Apostolopoulou, employee of the Ministry of Tourism, seconded to the office of the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, holder of a PhD in the field of LGBTI+ tourism.
Aikaterini Kladisiou, an employee of the Public Policy Coordination Office of the Coordination Service, will provide secretarial support to the Group.
