The Ministry “Praying for our children” (MOPNH), dedicated to encouraging parents to unite in prayer for their children and those of the entire world, continues to grow in the world and new parishes have opened their doors in Colombia, Argentina and USA.
In a statement shared with ACI Prensa, Maritza Monroe, founder and general coordinator of the Catholic ministry, highlighted its growth in the state of Florida (United States), particularly in the Archdiocese of Miami and in the Diocese of Palm Beach. Furthermore, it has spread to other states such as Texas and California.
MOPNH was founded in the church of San Andrés, in Coral Springs, Florida (United States), in 2007, under the motto “Together for the salvation of our children”.
Currently various Latin American countries such as the Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, Argentina and Colombia have joined, and so has Spain.
In the last few months alone, five Colombian parishes have opened their doors to him: Nuestra Señora de las Lajas, San Bernabé Apóstol, San Lucas and Santa Águeda, in Bogotá; and San Jacinto in Tocaima.
In Rosario (Argentina), the parish of Santa Isabel de Hungría did the same; as well as the Santiago Apóstol de Bayamón parish, in Puerto Rico, a commonwealth of the United States.
In Royal Palm Beach, Florida (United States), the ministry is already working at Our Lady Queen of The Apostles.
“We thank God for these parishes that have opened their doors to this noble ministry,” Monroe said.
“The most important thing is that we are more and more fathers, mothers, grandparents, uncles, brothers, friends who pray for our children and for the needs of the children of the entire world,” he said.
Monroe stressed that “day by day, we see how we evangelize families through prayer for children.”
Fathers and mothers “who before carried the burdens and worries of their children on their shoulders” today are “praying people, who in faith deliver their children and their needs into the hands of the Almighty,” he stressed.
“We invite all the fathers and mothers of the world, as well as all the parishes, to join this mission of love and solidarity,” he encouraged.
