13 Abductees Released from Hamas Captivity After Nerve-Wracking Hours

After hours of tension and uncertainty, 13 abductees were released from Hamas captivity tonight, in what has been described as a nerve-wracking ordeal for their families. Among the released abductees is 9-year-old Emily Hand, whose father had initially believed she was murdered during the massacre.

The release comes after Hamas threatened to cancel the deal due to alleged non-compliance with the terms of the agreement on the part of Israel. However, the abductees were ultimately released, bringing a wave of relief for their families.

Chen Avigdori, whose wife Sharon and daughter Noam were among those released, expressed his relief and excitement, saying, “I saw them on TV and they look fine. Now we’re going to the hospital to meet them. This is where my little part of the story ends, but the fight continues. I’m crazy, it’s a crazy relief.”

Inbal Tsach, the cousin of released abductee Adi Shaham, shared her excitement, saying, “Like everyone, we watched our loved ones on the way home. We saw Adi with Neve, Yahal, Shoshan, Noam, and Sharon, and of course we are waiting for Tal to come home and we are waiting for everyone. The struggle is not over… This is the happiest sadness and the saddest joy, but our family is home. Keep fighting with us. There is still a long road ahead of us.”

Zohar Avigdori, aunt of Noam Avigdori and sister-in-law of Sharon Avigdori, expressed the family’s eager anticipation of reuniting with their loved ones. She said, “We are very excited, our legs are shaking and we are impatiently waiting to hug our beloved Noam and Sharon. We don’t forget for a moment that these are the same legs that will continue the journey to sustain us in the long journey that is still ahead of us – until the Sabbath of all the abductees.”

The release of the abductees brings a mixture of emotions for their families, with relief and joy at their safe return, coupled with the awareness that there is still a long road ahead. The families are determined to continue their fight until all the abductees are safely brought home.
