Mishustin appoints new head of Roszheldor

Aleksey Druzhinin has been appointed as the new head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor), the corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the government website.

In December, Igor Koval, who had been in this position since May 2021, left the post of head of Roszheldor, the Cabinet reported.

Prior to his appointment to the post of head of Roszheldor, Alexey Druzhinin worked for more than five years as the executive director of a non-profit partnership, and later of the self-regulatory organization Union of Participants in the Market for Services of Railway Rolling Stock Operators.

In 2004–2005 He served as head of the legal department of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport, then moved to the Ministry of Transport, where he worked in various positions until 2014.

Druzhinin is an active state adviser of the 2nd class, he was awarded the medal “For the Development of Railways” and the badge “Honorary Railway Worker”, the government said in a statement.
