Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree appointing Nikolai Yatselenko as deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Industry. Previously, he headed the Department for Coordination of Informatization of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications (the department was transformed into the Ministry of Digital Industry).

“To appoint Nikolai Sergeevich Yatselenko as Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation,” the prime minister said in a June 18 decree. It is published on the portal of legal information.

Mr. Yatselenko will oversee the implementation of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, the personnel policy of the ministry and its administrative and economic activities, the TASS Ministry of Digital Industry reported. He will also be responsible for the digital transformation of government bodies and the digital development of regions.

Earlier, Mr. Mishustin dismissed Yevgeny Kislyakov from the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Industry. He was appointed deputy chairman of the board of the Russian Pension Fund.
