Mishustin extended the moratorium on scheduled inspections of small businesses for 2022

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has extended the moratorium on scheduled inspections of small businesses until 2022, he said at a government meeting. This measure, reminded the head of the Cabinet, has been in effect in the country for several years.

“Thanks to her, more than 120 thousand inspections were excluded from the annual plan last year, which made it possible to significantly reduce the administrative burden on small businesses, support them in a difficult period of adaptation to the spread of coronavirus, and help with the restoration of business processes,” the prime minister emphasized.

The moratorium will affect about 100 thousand small businesses, but the government makes a number of exceptions. “It will not apply to inspections of those facilities that can pose a potential danger to human life – those that are classified as extremely high and high risk, – at enterprises operating on the basis of a license, and at those using nuclear energy,” explained Mishustin.

The head of government expects that this decision will relieve the business of unnecessary workload and certain stress, will allow companies not to be distracted by checks and recover faster.
