Mikhail Mishustin has simplified the procedure for providing compensation for travel to the resting place for those retired northerners who apply for special personal coupons to the Pension Fund. They receive free tickets for them at the railway ticket offices. Previously, in order to issue such a coupon, pensioners had to present a supporting document from a sanatorium or a rest home. Sometimes a certificate was required from Russian Railways about the fare. The prime minister abolished these requirements. The new procedure applies to citizens receiving an old-age or disability insurance pension.
