“In total, 5 billion 200 million rubles are allocated for the development of artificial intelligence next year,” he said.

Mishustin said that the volume of the AI ​​market last year, despite sanctions, grew by about 18% and reached 650 billion rubles. About 1,000 domestic companies operate in this area.

In general, the rate of implementation of AI in sectors of the Russian economy is about 20%, the leader remains the financial sector, where such technologies are already used by 95% of companies, the prime minister noted. In 2021, the first six such organizations have already received grants, the prime minister recalled.

At the beginning of September, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to provide support to research centers in the field of AI until 2030. The president instructed to pay special attention to “the need for them to conduct research on optimizing machine learning algorithms and computing processes, including those related to the development of large language models and technologies generative artificial intelligence.”

In the fall of 2022, the president, at the Sberbank Artificial Intelligence Journey conference dedicated to AI, said that now the significance of breakthroughs in the field of AI is colossal, and the rivalry between states is fierce.
