Kyiv: Seven people have been killed in a missile fired by Russia over a military weapons base in the Ukrainian city of Lviv. 12 injured. Ukraine says Russia has fired five powerful missiles.

Those killed included a small child. In addition to the military base, the missile hit a nearby car tire sales center. According to an eyewitness, black smoke was seen rising from the residential area.

The war has been going on for two months but Lviv has not had any significant problems so far. This is one of the places where people sought refuge from the war-torn eastern regions. Earlier, Russian troops warned of retaliation for Ukraine’s invasion of Russian soil and the sinking of a Moscow warship.

Russia claims to have destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian weapons facilities in the last one night. The Russian military says it has destroyed 16 military bases, including in Kharkiv and Donetsk. Artillery fire at 315 military bases. Russia has said it carried out airstrikes in 108 places. Ukrainian authorities say two people have been killed in a shelling attack in Kharkiv.

As the war entered its 54th day, Russia was trying to conquer eastern Ukraine. Ukraine says Russian forces have shot dead four civilians trying to escape in a car from the worst-hit Crimea.
