Lucknow ∙ Wife arrested after body of missing husband was found buried in bedroom of house. The incident took place in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Farmer Govind Singh (30) was buried by his wife Shilpa (27). Govind’s brother informed the police when the smell started coming from the house. The incident came to the outside world after the police reached the spot and conducted an investigation.
Govind Singh lived with his wife Shilpa and three children in Khamaria village of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Shilpa told the police that her husband had hanged himself after fighting with her on August 7. Shilpa told the police that she buried the body inside the house fearing that the information would come out and that none of the children knew about it.
However, the police said that they are not satisfied with Shilpa’s statement and are waiting for the post-mortem report. The elder daughter of Shilpa and Govind gave a statement to the police that she saw her father fighting with her mother on the night of the incident. The police also said that Shilpa had sought the help of someone else to bury the body. The police is conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
