Missing Jaffna Hindu student body found in Karainagar Kasurina sea

The body of a student who went missing after being swept away by a wave while bathing in the Kasurina sea in Karainagar has been recovered after a search of about 4 hours.

The body of Yogarasa Lokeswaran (17 years old), a student of Jaffna Hindu College, Thillaiyambathi area in Konda has been recovered.

From Konda, 20 people went to Karainagar Kasurina Recreation Beach on Saturday, New Year’s Day. The two were swept away by the wave while they were bathing.

One of the occupants was rescued after others who saw it raised alarm. While the other was swept away at sea, the Navy and local fishermen were engaged in the search for him.

The student’s body was recovered after a search of about four hours.
