The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez, officially handed over the works carried out on kilometer 125 of the Northern Longitudinal Highway in the jurisdiction of Sensuntepeque, Cabañas.
According to the official, approximately 1,400 meters of horizontal drilling was carried out in the mountain in three sections. In this way, drainage works were carried out to prevent water from accumulating.
“We restored the road, we made the base, the sub-base, we marked this section. We placed flex beans, we placed grass, so that the population can move around without running risks,” explained Minister Rodríguez.
The head of Public Works added that the area now has a well that retains 40 liters per minute. This was the same water that was not drained before.
Romeo Rodríguez highlighted that a bidding process was launched with World Bank funds to award and execute the intervention at kilometer 125 of the Northern Longitudinal Highway.
