jpnn.comBEKASI – Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower (Sekjen Kemnaker) Anwar Sanusi welcomed the visit of the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture Yoshihiro Murai to the Bekasi Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BBPVP), West Java.

The visit demonstrated the importance of harmonious and sustainable bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan, particularly in the area of ​​improving workforce competency.

“We hope that this cooperation can continue to grow, and we are optimistic that in the future more qualified Indonesian workers can make positive contributions in Miyagi Prefecture and other areas in Japan,” said Secretary General Anwar, Saturday (7/9).

Secretary General Anwar said that the cooperation between the Ministry of Manpower and IM Japan has been going on since 1993.

During this period, the collaboration has succeeded in establishing a holistic and adequate pre-departure training system to prepare interns to undergo their internship in Japan properly.

Not only prioritizing technical skills, but also provision soft skills such as discipline, cultural adaptation, and high work ethic.

“This is part of our efforts to ensure that interns can adapt to life and work culture in Japan,” explained Secretary General Anwar.

He said that by December 2023, 52,440 participants had been successfully sent to take part in the internship program in Japan.
