Miyazaki Prefecture, where this mango is grown, is famous for the cultivation of citrus fruits such as litchi and kumquat. The climate here along with the soil, abundant rainfall and warm temperatures create an excellent environment for Miyazaki mangoes.

Although Miyazaki mango is originally from Japan, it is also grown in Birbhum district of West Bengal in India. According to ANI report, Miyazaki mango tree has been planted in Dubrajpur of Birbhum district. Last year, this mango was put on exhibition in the Siliguri Mango Festival.
