MK Ofer Kasif attacks: “Jews should not pray at the Western Wall”

by time news

Against the background of security tensions: Today (Wednesday) a flag parade is expected to take place in Jerusalem, which is scheduled to pass through the Nablus Gate, despite the police position forbidding its existence. Member of Knesset Ofer Kasif (The joint list) referred to things in a conversation with Anat Davidov and Gideon Oko on 103FM.

“The whole purpose of the march is to show who the boss is, the police did not give permission and rightly so – they should physically prevent it and not let people march. These people are criminals because they are racists and occupiers. The real landlord is the Palestinians, this is occupied territory.”

“My friends and I oppose the violence, but we think that the main violence is the occupation. The question is how do we reach a just compromise so that all of us, the two peoples, can live a normal and phased life here – both Israelis and Palestinians,” he continued.

On the reading of the Knesset member Ayman Odeh He told Israeli Arabs not to enlist in the police and security forces, saying: “He must be precise – he meant not to enlist in the occupation forces. I myself refused to serve in the occupied territories and sat in prison. “In crime or the traffic police, no one came out against it.”

When asked if the Jews can pray at the Western Wall, Knesset member Kasif replied that “as long as the situation is a state of occupation – for me it is not legitimate. The Western Wall is occupied territory, period. I am not talking about the religious issue, but the political-national issue.”
