jpnn.comJAKARTA – The results of the presidential election (Pilpres) from 2004 to 2024 have always been challenged by certain pairs of candidates (paslon) to the Constitutional Court (MK).

As is known, Indonesia has only held presidential general elections (pilpres) five times, namely in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2019 and 2024.

The results of the five presidential elections are always challenged to the Constitutional Court through the General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) case.

Director of Indonesian Political Parameters (PPI) Adi Prayitno said that the two lawsuits against the 2024 presidential election results filed by presidential candidate pairs number 01 and 03 at the Constitutional Court would suffer the same fate as the lawsuit at the MK in the previous presidential election if they were unable to present evidence of election fraud in a structured manner. , systematic and massive (TSM).

The reason is that at the trial the Constitutional Court judges will not need a lengthy explanation, but what is needed is factual and accurate evidence or data when the TSM fraud occurred.

According to Adi Prayitno, without factual and accurate data, all lawsuits resulting from the presidential election dispute will fail like previous lawsuits.

“What is clear is that the evidence will speak for itself. Proof of election fraud must be accompanied by factual and accurate data. Without this, all lawsuits resulting from presidential election disputes will fail, as happened in previous presidential election lawsuits. “The key is data, data and accurate data,” said Adi Prayitno when contacted, Wednesday (27/03/2024).

According to Adi Prayitno, if we look at the experience of lawsuits regarding disputes over the results of the previous presidential elections, namely in 2004 and 2019, it was difficult for the plaintiffs to prove that fraud occurred during the election and this made the judge not grant their lawsuit.
