LDS Round in MLB Playoffs Heats Up with Exciting Matchups
The LDS round in Major League Baseball’s 2023 postseason is off to an exciting start, with plenty of thrilling matchups and surprising results. On Monday night, the Braves and Diamondbacks emerged victorious on the National League side of the bracket. The Braves were able to even their series with the Phillies, while the D-backs took a commanding 2-0 lead against the Dodgers.
In the American League, the playoff action resumes on Tuesday with Game 3 of the Rangers-Orioles and Twins-Astros series. The Rangers, who are currently up 2-0 against the top-seeded Orioles, have the chance to become the first team to reach the LCS round in these playoffs. However, the Orioles, led by star player Adley Rutschman, have never been swept in any series with him on the roster and will fight to save their season, needing three consecutive wins.
Eight teams remain in the playoff bracket after the Wild Card Series. The Twins also got a major win, defeating the Astros 6-2 in Game 2 of their ALDS series. The Rangers continued their dominance, overpowering the Orioles with an 11-5 victory in Game 2.
In the Wild Card Series, the Rangers, Twins, Diamondbacks, and Phillies all emerged victorious, eliminating the Rays, Blue Jays, Brewers, and Marlins, respectively.
