M&M’s have been recalled across 20 states, the Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday, due to the potential presence of undeclared allergens. The popular candies were repackaged by Beacon Promotions Inc.,with the initial recall beginning on January 26.

A recall has been issued for certain M&M’s products due to undeclared milk,soy,and peanut allergens.

These recalled M&M’s aren’t the ones you’d find on a grocery store shelf. they were repackaged and distributed by Beacon Promotions Inc. specifically for marketing campaigns, meaning the risk to the general public is relatively low, but meaningful for those with allergies.

Recall Classification-A Class II recall means the product may cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences.

The recall specifically targets 1.3-oz bags of peanut M&M’s labeled “make Your Mark,†bearing lot code M1823200 and a best-by date of April 30, 2026. Additionally, 1.3 oz bags of regular M&M’s with company branding like “Subaru,†“Adobe,†and “xfinity†are also affected, with the following lot codes and best-by dates:

  • Lot L450ARCLV03; best by Dec.1, 2025
  • Lot L502FLHKP01; best by Jan. 1, 2026
  • Lot L523CMHKP01; best by June 30, 2026
  • Lot L537GMHKP01; best by Sept. 1, 2026

The FDA has not issued specific instructions for consumers regarding this recall, as the products were not widely available for retail purchase. However, individuals with known allergies to milk, soy, or peanuts should exercise caution and avoid consuming any M&M’s obtained outside of normal retail channels.
