DIG/ The mobile telephony sector has suffered less well since the beginning of 2023.
According to figures from the Directorate General for the Economy and Fiscal Policy (DGEPF), in the first quarter of 2023, telephony activity, measured by its turnover index, declined by 2.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022.
This development is the result of underperformance of mobile telephony whose turnover continues to decline.
“The proliferation of commercial actions is reflected in the implicit reduction in prices.
In addition, the decline in the number of mobile Internet subscribers has contributed to slowing down activity.indicates the DGEPF.
On a year-on-year basis, however, activity increased 1.3% in connection with the good performance of internet connections which continue to improve thanks in particular to the development of online services.
