Paramount+ crime drama MobLand returns for its second season on September 18, 2026, bringing 10 weekly episodes of escalating gang conflict to London. Created by Ronan Bennett and starring Tom Hardy as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, the series has already secured an early third-season renewal.
The criminal underworld of London is back on our screens as MobLand season 2 premiered on September 18, 2026. The high-stakes crime drama, which follows the warring factions of the capital, brings back its powerhouse ensemble cast for a ten-episode run. At the center of the chaos is Harry Da Souza, the street-smart fixer played by Tom Hardy, who works to protect the ruthless leaders of the Harrigan crime family, Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren).
Starring Helen Mirren, Tom Hardy as Harry, Pierce Brosnan, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, and Jasmine Jobson as part of the Harrigan crime syndicate, the Paramount+ show features a massive main cast.
Developed by Ronan Bennett, the program centers on the bitter rivalry between the Stevenson and Harrigan clans, whose prolonged dispute threatens to destabilize the criminal network of London.
The Harrigan Family Faces New Threats and Internal Tensions
The second installment picks up right in the thick of the family’s crumbling empire. According to the official synopsis, “The Harrigans will struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire – and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable ‘fixer’, must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify.”

That danger takes physical form early in the season. Johnny Flynn’s character Frankie has officially entered the second season of MobLand as a fresh danger to the Harrigans, making a striking entrance in episode two.
Featured in a tracksuit, this criminal is poised to clash with Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve (Helen Mirren), alongside their trusted fixer Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy), throughout the current run. Last spring, MobLand wrapped up with a lot of wit, a lot of stabbing, and one big boss leaving prison.
Prior to the debut of season 2, rumors circulated suggesting that the tensions from MobLand had extended beyond the screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hardy clashed with producers, and there were talks about firing him, though the dispute appears to have been settled. During a September 2026 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mirren lauded her collaboration with Brosnan and Hardy, refuting allegations of off-camera friction involving the latter. I cannot tell you what fun it is. Pierce and I are like toast and butter,
she said, adding that Hardy is “extraordinary.” We absolutely love working with [Hardy], we love doing the show and that's all there really is to it,
Mirren continued.

Early Season 3 Renewal Secured
Despite reports of on-set drama between its stars, MobLand was renewed for a third season, a nice show of faith from Paramount+, seeing as the second hasn’t even dropped yet. Conrad Harrigan portrayer Pierce Brosnan recently shared with ScreenRant that production for the third season is scheduled to commence in November 2026.
I cannot tell you what fun it is.

With a confirmed 10-episode trajectory ending on November 20 and cameras scheduled to roll on the next chapter soon, the Harrigans have plenty of room to let chaos reign.
