M-top Johan Abrahamsson resigns after it emerged that he shared offensive content in a chat with a party colleague, reports Mariestads-Tidningen.
Among other things, he has shared a picture of a naked woman whose penis is covered by a seagull, a crude joke about oral sex and a picture of the Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar with a comment about her cleavage. He has also shared several images with racist and homophobic content.
– We are in an EU election campaign now and the party must focus on getting as much electoral support as possible. They can’t focus on me then, says Johan Abrahamsson to MT.
Johan Abrahamsson was one of the Moderates’ heaviest municipal politicians. He was chairman of the party’s largest union, the Moderates in Västra Götaland, and chairman of the municipal board in Mariestad.
Anna Vedin, first vice confederation chairman, is currently taking over as confederation chairman.
