The Monitoring Center is being built at the La Lechuza campus of the Ministry of Public Works. It has four levels and an area of ​​4,200 square meters, and will not only monitor smart traffic lights and photo tickets, but also handle emergencies.

In addition, it will allow for road monitoring, timely attention to any incident that may occur on the road, control of pedestrian and vehicle traffic lights, and the photo-ticket system.

“The monitoring center for public transport will also be located here, which will be a donation from the South Korean Cooperation Agency,” said the Vice Minister of Transport, Nelson Reyes.

The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Herrera, said that they have worked on the foundations, piles and footings of the new project, which they plan to finish at the beginning of next year.
