The Minister of Health, Francisco Alabi, together with the director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in El Salvador, Chris Cushing, inaugurated the Public Health Emergency Operations Center (COESP).
The institution will play a fundamental role in the coordination and collaboration between various actors and organizations involved in the response to health emergencies with the One Health approach.
The COESP will be a space in which events that may affect the well-being of families will be constantly monitored and analyzed, it will contribute to decision-making based on evidence and scientific study and will coordinate information and resources in order to support management activities. of disasters and incidents.
“This strategy contributes a lot to the response that we are implementing throughout the country to diseases that may represent a risk to Salvadorans, such as: arboviruses, respiratory diseases and others,” said Minister Francisco Alabi.
