Modern Warfare II grossed $1 billion in 10 days

by time news

The distributor Activision introduced a new reporting system for the titles Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 that will allow administrators to permanently mute players with toxic behavior in voice or text chat.

Every player in online multiplayer games is familiar with the phenomenon: “toxic” and especially noisy contestants take over the group chat, raining juicy curses on the group members. Today these players can be individually muted and/or reported for inappropriate behavior – which may ultimately result in their being blocked from accessing the online game modes.

It is important to note that not every report automatically leads to the penalty of silencing and that is what the administrators have to decide and in fact it is another punishment tool that allows problematic players to continue playing without disturbing other players and thus in fact aligns with other online games such as: Overwatch 2 and Valorant which have a reporting tool that allow players to be punished even without banishing them from the game for good.

The distributor has an interest in as many players as possible continuing to play, since just this week it was announced that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II broke the revenue record and brought in a billion dollars in 10 days since the launch of the game.
