Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav made a personal attack on PM Narendra Modi at his party’s rally on March 3. He said that Modi did not get tonsured on the death of his mother. Therefore they are not Hindus. His second comment was that Narendra Modi has no children. That’s why they blame RJD for being a family party. Such statements against Narendra Modi are not the first incident. The leaders of Congress, which ruled the country for a long time after independence, have been making such comments about Narendra Modi, due to which they have had to suffer the consequences.

In the context of Gujarat riots, the then Congress President Sonia Gandhi had said about Narendra Modi that he is a ‘merchant of death’. Rahul had commented on Modi during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections – ‘Why is the surname of all these thieves Modi?’ On this statement of Rahul Gandhi, BJP leader Purnesh Modi had filed a defamation case saying that this is an insult to the Modi community. Later, Rahul was also sentenced to two years imprisonment in this case, due to which his Lok Sabha membership was cancelled. However, later he got relief from the upper court and then his membership was restored after 136 days. Rahul Gandhi’s statement ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ about Narendra Modi was also much discussed.

In the video, Nitish is seen saying – “Jananayak Karpoori Thakur never promoted his family. Know only one thing, after learning from Jannayak Karpoori Thakur, we also did not promote any of our families. We promote other people. ”
