Mohamed Salah scored once and helped Trabzonspor defeat Alanyaspor 2–0 on Sunday, November 8, 2026, lifting his club into second place in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Playing away at Alanya Oba Stadium, Trabzonspor controlled the opening half of the round 11 fixture broadcast live on beIN Sports 5 HD with commentary from Nofal Bashi and through the TOD application.
Salah doubled the lead in the 34th minute. He collected a pass from Paul Onuachu near the edge of the penalty area, maneuvered past defender Nuno Lima, and slipped his left-footed shot into the net. The 34-year-old forward played 89 minutes before being substituted in the final minute, earning a match-leading 8.5 rating from SofaScore after registering five total shots, two shots on target, and one key pass.
Following the final whistle, Salah shared a photo on his official Instagram story showing him flashing a victory sign and sticking out his tongue to celebrate the result.
The victory advanced Trabzonspor to 25 points, placing them second in the league standings three points behind leaders Galatasaray, who have 28 points. Alanyaspor remained with 12 points in 13th place.
The strike was Salah’s ninth in the league this season and his 11th across all competitions since joining the club in the summer of 2026 on a free transfer from Liverpool.
The win allowed the team to bounce back immediately from a 1–0 defeat to German club Freiburg in the UEFA Conference League, which had halted a seven-match winning streak across all competitions.
The match also marked Salah’s return to club action following the announcement that Hossam Hassan concluded his tenure as head coach of the Egypt national team, with Ali Maher taking over the Pharaohs ahead of upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying fixtures against Malawi scheduled for November 13 and November 17.
Mohamed Salah, I love you so much.
