/ International referee Mohammed Tariq confirmed on Thursday that he was subjected to injustice by the decision to suspend him from refereeing for an “unjustified and personal” reason, and that he filed a second lawsuit against the head of the referees committee and will sue him for defaming him.

Mohammed Tariq, the son of the former secretary general of the federation, head of the referees committee and the late international referee Tariq Ahmed, told Agency, “I am surprised by this unfair decision and the statement on television and defamation of me by the head of the referees committee,” indicating that “every person has the right to act as he wishes without harming others, and tattoos are a personal matter and I believe that they are common in all societies and no one should interfere in my private affairs.”

Tarek confirmed, “I filed a second lawsuit today, Thursday, against the head of the referees committee, Najah Rahm, for defamation and publicly announcing the two penalties on an official satellite channel, and that what he did is inconsistent with the law of the International Federation, which does not allow interference in natural personal freedoms that do not affect others.”

He added, “The reason for the complaint is also to cut off my livelihood, hinder my refereeing future, and expose me to injustice, which has greatly affected my psyche and the psyche of my family.”

directed the question to the head of the referees committee, Najah Rahm, who works as a human doctor in one of the hospitals, and the owner of the provocative statement and decision against referee Mohammed Tariq, but he refused to answer our calls despite our repeated calls, and he did not respond to a message that included our questions regarding the subject. Najah Rahm had previously refused to respond and make statements to the media after his last statement on a government channel.

published this morning, Thursday, quoting France Presse, that the Iraqi international referee, Mohammed Tariq Ahmed, is facing a problem because of two tattoos on his chest and leg.

The head of the referees committee of the Iraqi Football Association, Najah Rahm, announced the temporary suspension of Ahmed, due to these two tattoos, which the committee had repeatedly asked him not to reveal during matches.

Rahm said, “More than once we asked international referee Mohamed Tariq to cover the tattoo during matches, but he refused.”

He added: “It is true that these things are not prohibited by law, but they are not part of our traditions and customs, and sometimes they put pressure on the atmosphere of the matches, so we decided to suspend him temporarily. This is not a disciplinary measure as much as it is an opportunity for correction and review.”
