Mohanlal played the role of Jayaram in that film; It is thought to be due to: Tulsidas

Mr. Brahmachari is a 2003 Mohanlal film. Director Tulasi Das said that Jayaram was first thought of for the role of Mohanlal. Thulasidas said that Mohanlal was approached instead of Jayaram on the basis of his wife’s suggestion that Mohanlal would do the role better. He said this in an interview with Master Bin Channel.

“When the story of Mr. Brahmachari came to my mind, I did not think who would do it. Then what came to my mind was Jayaram. Because at that time he was doing many films with him.

But even before telling him the story of the film, my wife said that it would be better if Mohanlal did it. At that time, the characters played by Mohanlal are beyond our reach. He did great stories and characters back then that I couldn’t even think of.

I was skeptical as to how such a simple story could be brought to such an actor. I thought a lot when my wife said that. I felt it would be better if Mohanlal did it.

So I called Laleton on the phone. He was in Thiruvananthapuram at the time of the call. I think it’s because of that. Because he is not always in Thiruvananthapuram. So I went to the set and told the story,” said Thulasidas.

Mohanlal played the role of Ananthan Thambi in the film. Meena, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadish and others were the main actors.
