Mokdong New Town Complex 7 is holding a reconstruction briefing session. At the briefing session, we plan to closely compare the cooperative and trust methods.
The Mokdong Complex 7 Reconstruction Preparation Committee announced on the 13th that it will hold a briefing session at Haenuri Town in Yangcheon to report on the progress of designating the Mokdong Complex 7 maintenance area and compare the pros and cons of the cooperative and trust methods. After the business briefing session on the 18th, the Mok-dong Complex 7 Finance Committee plans to conduct a vote on the business method for all owners of Complex 7.
The briefing session on this day will begin with a report on the progress of designation of maintenance areas by BM Urban Architecture Office, followed by an explanation of trust-based reconstruction by Kyobo Asset Trust. Afterwards, Han Hyeong-ki, former Acro River Park union leader, explains the advantages of the union method. Jaehyeon Lee, an attorney at Yoonkang Law Firm, will give a lecture on the comparative analysis and pros and cons of each business method.
Ji Seong-jin, Chairman of the Finance Committee of Mok-dong Complex 7, said, “The decision on the business method is a very important issue in the reconstruction project, so we decided to hold a business method briefing session this year as well as last year.” He added, “We will increase residents’ understanding by providing detailed explanations of each business method before voting.” “We plan to help determine business methods,” he said.
Mok-dong Complex 7 received a maintenance plan through the rapid integrated planning fast track in June 2023 and completed the procedures related to designation as a government district in Seoul. On the 24th, the public hearing process for the designation of maintenance areas and maintenance plans will begin. After listening to the opinions of the district council and deliberation by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the goal is to announce the designation of maintenance areas in the first half of the year.
Meanwhile, Mokdong Complex 6, which was the first of the 14 complexes in Mokdong New Town to be designated and announced as a maintenance area, is progressing through the direct association establishment system, and Mokdong Complexes 8, 12, 13, and 14 have completed deliberation by the Urban Planning Committee. Complexes 1 to 3, which had been classified as Type 2 general residential areas, were upgraded to Type 3 general residential areas under the condition of creating an open green space (Mokdong Greenway), and the pace of reconstruction is accelerating. When reconstruction of Mok-dong complexes 1 to 14 is completed, the total number of households will increase from 26,500 to 53,000.
