Berlin – As chairman of the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko), Thomas Mertens has announced a quick recommendation for a third corona vaccination for everyone over the age of 18. So far, the so-called booster was only recommended for people over the age of 70 and for certain professional groups, such as medical professionals. According to the RKI, a good four million people across Germany have received a third vaccination so far. This number could now rise quickly, also due to the expected recommendation. Is Berlin prepared for such a need for vaccinations?
