Moments of fear for a 40-year-old

Ancona, 25 August 2024 – A 40-year-old tourist was struck by a sudden illness yesterday morning while he was on the beach: it was around 12.30 when the 118 men arrived in the stretch of free beach of Cesano to help the woman. She was under her umbrella when suddenly, she felt a strong pain in her chest, like a weight. This was enough to raise the alarm: after the checks, the medical staff waited a while before repeating some checks. The woman was probably struck by a drop in blood pressure, then the panic and the intervention of the paramedics, but fortunately for her it was not necessary to go to the emergency room. To make sure of her health conditions he was also the lifeguard present on that stretch of beach. Yesterday was another red-flagged day for the staff of the Emergency Room of the Senigallia hospital, where many went after feeling unwell due to the heat. There were also many requests for intervention at the Tourist Medical Guard and in pharmacies. And today is expected to be another red-flagged day due to the heat which should ease the grip starting tomorrow. The Tourist Medical Guard facilities will remain active on the velvet beach until August 31, as will the Rescue service.
