The films released last year with Mammootty playing the lead role were different from each other. It is the same this year too. Christopher is Mammootty’s film that hits the theaters after Lijo Jose Pellissery’s early afternoon nap. Mammootty will again play the role of a policeman and the film is directed by B Unnikrishnan with a screenplay by Udayakrishna. Now talking about the film is Venu Kunnappilly, which is produced by Mamangam starring Mammootty.
He says that he heard the story of the film once. I am eagerly waiting for this movie. I once heard the story from the writer of the film. Romanticization coming, Mammooka’s intense moments… If everything comes together, this will be one and a half movie… Then on screen, Venu Kunnappilly wrote on social media along with the new poster of the film. Apart from Mamangam, he is also the producer of Unni Mukundan’s Malikappuram which is currently in theatres. Jude Antony Joseph’s 2018 Everyone is a Hero and Tinu Pappachan’s Chaveer are his upcoming films.

Meanwhile, Christopher is produced by RD Illuminations. The tag line of the film is Biography of a Vigilante Cop. Apart from Amala Paul, the film has three heroines namely Sneha and Aishwarya Lakshmi. South Indian actor Vinay Rai also plays an important role in the film. Along with Dileesh Pothan, Siddique, Jinu Abraham, Vineetakoshi, Vasanthi etc., thirty five new faces are also playing roles in the film.
