For example, regarding allegations of money politics. The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) asked the community in the Bumi Anoa region to dare to report it.
According to the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Bawaslu, Iwan Rompo Banne, there is no way out of the current practice of money politics, except for the community itself to take the initiative and dare to report it.
“Regarding money politics, there is actually no way, but according to us (Bawaslu), the public must dare to report it,” said Iwan Rompo Banne when launching the 2024 Pilkada vulnerability map in Kendari, Monday (9/9).
If no one in the community dares to report the practice of money politics, then the possibility of uncovering these violations will be increasingly difficult for election supervisors to investigate and uncover.
“Election supervisors have limitations in such matters, both in terms of numbers and incidents, so if you want this to be revealed, only one, all must dare to report it,” he said.
Iwan said that even though no reports had been received, Bawaslu would of course continue to follow up on all information obtained by the team in the field regarding election violations.
