Dthem great figures of the 7e art united by love… Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have been living a discreet romance for several months, we learn this week in Paris Match.
The magazine publishes several photos where we see the Italian actress and the American director on a romantic stroll in Paris for Valentine’s Day, hand in hand and tender kisses in the most romantic city in the world… After a dinner in mind together in a restaurant in the capital, they then went to the Ritz hotel, place Vendôme.
“I need serenity”
According to our colleagues, their story began last October in Lyon, during the Lumière Festival where Monica Bellucci, who has just played Callas on stage, gave the director ofEdward Scissorhands a lifetime achievement award.
And as in a screenplay written on film, the two artists never left each other. “Since then, Tim Burton, who runs his career with a bang like a Barnum impresario, and the ultimate old-fashioned star of European cinema have found each other,” writes the novelist Simon Liberati in Match. And it looks like they’re living a fairy tale that the author of Sleepy Hollowof Dumbo or of Charlie and the chocolate factory would have decided to direct in real life. »
Monica Bellucci’s agency refuses to comment on the subject. But last September, the actress hinted, in Gala, that she was at a turning point in her life as she approaches her sixties.
“From a certain age, we are in another energy. Whether in work or in relationships. My priorities have changed, which I expect from a man too. Young, I was looking for a form of combat in love, today, I prefer complicity. I need serenity in what I live. »

The one who played a James Bond Girl in Spectre is also known for having shared the life of Vincent Cassel – they had two daughters, Deva, born in 2004 and Léonie, born in 2010 –, before living a brief romance with the sculptor Nicolas Lefebvre.
As for Tim Burton, 64, he regularly featured the women in his life in his feature films. First actress Lisa Marie, in Ed Wood, Mars Attacks et Sleepy Hollow. Then Helena Bonham Carter – with whom he had two children – in Big Fish or Alice in Wonderlandbefore their separation in 2014.
