Health Secretary Radhakrishnan has sent a circular to all District Collectors and Corporation Commissioners to follow the monkey pox prevention measures in Tamil Nadu.
In a circular sent by Health Secretary Radhakrishnan to all District Collectors and the Metropolitan Corporation Commissioner in this regard, the World Health Organization has announced that monkey pox is spreading in many countries. Following this, the guidelines issued by the Department of Public Health as directed by the National Center for Disease Control should be implemented immediately.

Those so isolated and treated should be reported to the District Monitoring Officers of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Board. Infectious disease protection measures should be implemented immediately when treating or treating monkeypox.
Blood, mucus, and blister fluid from monkeypox victims should be sent to NIV Pune for testing. The study said that if monkeypox is confirmed, those who have been in contact with them for the past 21 days should be immediately identified and isolated.
