Monkey type with brain: forward musk; Strong Criticism | Elon Musk | Life | Social Media

The Neuralink company aims to test the micro-device (implant) placed in the brain in humans within the next 6 months. Company owner Elon Musk revealed this at an event in California. Musk also said that he has sought permission from the US authorities for this. A demo video was shared by Elon Musk during the show.

It involved a monkey typing with its own mind using a micro-device implanted in its brain. Even before the program was held, various animal protection organizations had come forward demanding the number of monkeys involved in the Neuralink experiment and their current status.

Neuralink is a company based on the concept of Brain Computer Interface, which connects the human brain with computer-based devices. A coin-sized chip will be inserted into the human brain with the help of a robot. From this there are very thin wires that go to the brain. After the connection is achieved, the devices can be controlled using the brain. For example, those who cannot use a smartphone due to physical weakness can do so because of the brain.

Established in 2016, Neuralink’s main objective is to treat brain diseases, diseases affecting the nervous system and injuries. Neuralink used monkeys for related experiments. Animal welfare activists have alleged that many of these died due to exploitation in the name of experiments. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine had earlier reported that the experiments had caused health problems in monkeys. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine said Neuralink used a chemical called bioglue on the monkeys. The committee said some of the monkeys involved in the experiment died afterwards and some were euthanized. But Neuralink denied these reports.
