THE ILLEST, VOL. III: NEW MONSTER ALBUM

He’s out “THE ILLEST, VOL. III”, the new album by MonsterRoman rapper with an outspoken and rebellious imagination who returns with the third, highly anticipated chapter of the saga which he started in 2015. The album, released for Epic Records/Sony Music Italy, is available on all digital platforms and in physical CD, Autographed CD, CD + T-shirt Bundle, LP, Autographed LP.

More than seven years have passed since the release of the first album of the saga “The Illest”, a project that has led Mostro to establish itself with great credibility in the urban world. In the following years, the rapper has continuously demonstrated his artistic sensibility, each time showing a maturity that is reflected both in the themes addressed and in the more complex construction of the lyrics and the joints. Now he is ready to return with a record that will repay the wait for fans who have long been hoping for a third volume.

In “THE ILLEST, VOL. III” Monster continues to talk about his vocation for rap and the desire for revenge through direct and explicit language, a lucid and disarming awareness with which he also describes more intimate and gloomy moments. In this album, for the first time, the rapper has the opportunity to collaborate with different artists and producers, a piece of a new artistic and personal journey, inaugurated with the signing for Epic Records / Sony Music Italy. In a period in which everything around him is changing, Monster publishes an album that unites the cornerstones of his rap with a new perspective, made up of experimentation and research in the studio, a place where it is necessary for him to get involved and try to make music in all possible ways.

The singles “Da Paura” were the forerunner to the new project (March 25, 2022), banger hit in the rapper’s full mood produced by 2nd Roof, the starting point of his new recording era, “Bottiglie Rotte” feat. Emis Killa and Gemitaiz (November 18, 2022), a piece with which the artist gained more positions in Spotify’s Top Artist chart (66) in the week following the release and “Underrated” (January 18, 2023), the most recent passage of a work he built with care.

On the occasion of the release of “THE ILLEST, VOL. III” the rapper will meet his fans in special in-store appointments on Saturday 28 January at the Mondadori in Piazza Duomo, Milan, from 18.00.

Provocative, raw and never predictable lyrics and a powerful and decisive sound contribute to making Monster’s style extremely recognizable, making him collect millions of views on YouTube. His album “The Illest, Vol. 2” has over 68 million streams on Spotify, the album “Sincerely Mostro” reaches more than 50 million to date, while “Ogni maledetto giorno” (Platinum Disc), in a single week from the debut manages to climb 87 positions in the official FIMI / Gfk ranking of best-selling records, reaching the first place of a chart in which the most important names in the history of Italian rap are present.

MOSTRO, “THE ILLEST, VOL. III”: TRACK BY TRACK

1.THE ILLEST INTRO (PROD YOSHIMITSU & NICK SICK)

The intro takes up the classic form of the first song on Monster’s records. It is a song that immediately reveals the two souls of the record: the more intimate and reflective one and the more explosive and direct one.

2.UNDERRATED (PROD NICK SICK)

The artist once again brings sharp rhymes to the beat, energetically affirming his own value in the rap scene, aware that he owes nothing to anyone thanks to the strength that has allowed him to conquer by himself all that he has achieved over time, despite some want to make him feel underrated. In the song, the visceral love for this genre demonstrates the artist’s will to be extremely present in the Italian rap game, thanks to the black humor that distinguishes it and pungent punchlines, elements that make it unique in the national urban panorama.

3.NO RAIN NO FLOWERS (PROD THE CEASARS)

The story of growth and how essential it is to go through certain situations, albeit difficult and tortuous, to obtain the best results.

4.RAPPRESENTO feat. JAKE LA FURIA (PROD 2ND ROOF)

Hip hop banger where the two artists talk about what they have faced in their lives, the situations they have encountered, explaining how everything they have experienced has influenced their music.

5.AQUILONI (PROD 2ND ROOF)

Aquiloni is a true stream of consciousness. It had been a long time since Monster had been writing a song like this, that he didn’t let go of the pen on a beat, abandoning himself to a real stream of consciousness. A song that could be defined as immortal within an artist’s catalogue.

6.A MOMENT PLEASE (PROD ANDRY THE HITMAKER)

A nightmare lasting a minute and a half. In these bars Monster encloses all of his humor, fully showing his personality, along with everything that amuses him. We could define it as a challenge towards what he finds annoying, but which at the same time gives him a space in which he is free to experiment.

7.DELUSIONS feat. THE THREE (PROD ANDRY THE HITMAKER)

Mostro takes Il Tre out of one’s comfort zone. The result is a piece in which the verses see the personal history of the two artists alternate, in an intimate and sincere story.

8.DA PAURA (PROD 2ND ROOF)

A banger hit in the full mood of the rapper, who once again brings his sharp rhymes to the beat, characterized by an ironic style that always carries a deeper message with it. A piece that makes your head move, but which fully demonstrates the artist’s will to be present in the rap game with his black humor and polemical verses, elements that have always made him one of the most interesting names in the Italian rap scene .

9. CLOSED DOORS (PROD NICK SICK)

A song to which Monster is very attached. It develops on the contradiction between a modern sound, which gives a nod to drill, and a profound story enclosed in the artist’s rhymes.

10.NOODLES feat. MADMAN (PROD MIXER T)

A song where rap is once again put at the center. Both as a main theme and in the exercise of technicalities and punchlines by Monster and Madman.

11. THE KEYS TO THE HOUSE (PROD MANUSSO)

“I wanted to give my father a gift, because I never wrote about him. “The keys to the house” is one of those songs I’ve had in my head for years, a piece that comes from the feeling of wanting to tell the sense of responsibility that my father has always handed down to me towards sacrifice, work and commitment. I wanted to do this justice and convey to him how deeply I understood what he taught me. So I dedicated this song to him.” – declares Monster.

12.EXIT feat. RIZZO (PROD ANDRY THE HITMAKER)

Monster talks about his difficulties in living relationships, the complexity of the moment when love goes from being a safe house to a cage for two people. Relationships lead to changes that, if he’s not willing to accept, will inevitably spill over on one of the two.

13. BROKEN BOTTLES feat. EMIS KILLA & GEMITAIZ (PROD. SINE)

Produced by SINE (a Roman producer who has already collaborated with big names on the current scene, such as Coez and Noyz Narcos), the song tells the story of the difficulty of living in a world that sometimes goes faster than expected. A world that often leaves loneliness and moments of down, in a silence that forces you to look inside and learn to be strong. It’s only thanks to rap that you find the strength to fight to conquer everything yourself, managing to get straight to the heart of the audience when you’re on stage.

14. VOMITO (PROD YOSHIMITSU)

One of the strongest and most direct tracks on the album. It represents the essence of Monster’s rap which, behind an extreme form, hides a content of truth and release.

15.IF YOU PASS HERE (PROD YOSHIMITSU)

In the closing piece, the artist addresses the listener, asking him to come closer to listen to what he has to say with an open heart. It is a sort of invitation, final, to enter her world.
