Andrea Montanari has been appointed director of Rai Radio 3. According to time.news, the appointment, proposed by the CEO Fabrizio Salini, was voted unanimously by the Rai Board of Directors in the meeting still in progress. Montanari – who has already directed both Tg1, Radio 1 and the Giornale Radio Rai – will succeed Marino Sinibaldi, historic director of the third public service radio network, who will retire at the beginning of April.

The current head of the press office of Rai, Claudia Mazzola, was appointed director of the Research Department in place of Montanari and the deputy director of Rai1 Paola Sciommeri has been appointed director of the Teche Rai. Both appointments – time.news learns – were the subject of a report to the Board of Directors by the CEO Fabrizio Salini, in the meeting of the board in progress in Viale Mazzini.

Mazzola, a research doctorate in philosophy and a Rai journalist for 20 years, arrives in the direction of the Studies Office, left by Andrea Montanari, appointed today as director of Radio3. Sciommeri takes over the Teche management, which has remained ad interim in Salini since Maria Pia Ammirati was nominated for Rai Fiction.

As expected, the Rai Board of Directors gave the go-ahead by a majority also to the appointment of Maurizio Fattaccio as president of Rai Pubblicità. Fattaccio succeeds Antonio Marano who left the company months ago. The new board member Anna Nicoletti has also been appointed.
