There has been an arrest for the murder of Alexandru Ivan, the 14-year-old killed with two gunshots in the night between Saturday and Sunday in the car park of Pantano station, on the outskirts of Rome. Corum showed up at the police station on Sunday evening with two lawyers and gave his version of events: “I arrived in that car park with my car, they were already there. I had sent the message to see each other and clarify but then I saw that they were with baseball bats in their hands and I left”. A version that clashes with the images of the cameras, the records and the investigations of the police. With Corum, who that evening said on the phone to Alexandru’s stepfather: “We’re coming”, the 33-year-old who is now wanted would also be there.

Corum was born in Italy and is part of a community of settled Roma who live not far from the bar where the brawl took place on Friday night. Some clothing has been seized and the police are awaiting the Stub’s investigations to ascertain whether he was the one who fired the shot.
