Luís Montenegro, president of the PSD, accused this Wednesday the prime minister, António Costa, of wanting to provoke early elections, at the end of the permanent coordination meeting of the social democrats, following the decision of the head of government to keep the minister Infrastructure, João Galamba, contrary to the will of the President of the Republic.
In a statement to journalists, the PSD leader accused the Government of “losing the north” and “being in agony”, noting that “whatever the outcome of this crisis, the prime minister had a swan song yesterday”.
The opposition leader accused António Costa of, when confronting the President of the Republic, “wanting to provoke early elections without having the courage to say so”, accusing the prime minister and João Galamba of “not knowing how to assume political responsibility”.
