A cyclist was reportedly struck by a truck late Monday afternoon in Montreal. The driver allegedly fled, leaving his victim in critical condition.
The collision allegedly took place around 3:30 p.m. Monday at the corner of du Parc and Mont-Royal streets in the Plateau Mont-Royal borough in Montreal.
“Immediately after the collision, the driver of the truck, a man, is said to have left the scene. The suspect would have been found and arrested by the police in the Outremont sector, ”said Manuel Couture, spokesperson for the police department of the city of Montreal (SPVM).
The cyclist was transported to a hospital center. He was in critical condition, said the SPVM.
Investigators from the collision investigation section are currently on the scene.
