(Montreal) A pedestrian was fighting for his life Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 40 in Montreal.
The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. at kilometer 82 in a westerly direction.
“For a reason still unknown, a pedestrian was on the highway and was struck by a vehicle”, explained Hélène St-Pierre, spokesperson for the security of Quebec (SQ).
The man was seriously injured and was transported to a hospital center.
The SQ “feared for its life” at the end of the evening.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
An investigation is underway to try to understand the circumstances of this collision.
