Announced since the end of May, Monty Ioane has officially joined the LOU for next season. The Rhone club formalized on Monday the arrival for two years of the Italian international winger.
This Monday, the LOU formalized the arrival of Monty Ioane for a 2-year contract. The 28-year-old winger, Italian international with 17 caps with the Squadra Azzura, signed a two-season lease with the third of the last regular season. He arrives at the Rhone club from the Australian Melbourne Rebels franchise, with whom he played Super Rugby this year.
After five seasons at Benetton, he left Treviso in 2022 to make a whirlwind stint of a few months in his country of birth. At the start of his career, Ioane already had experience in the Top 14, at the Stade Français training center from 2013 to 2015. He is also counted as a French champion with the Parisian club.
In Lyon, it is a new challenge for the Italian, his arrival in addition to the arrivals of winger Vincent Rattez and center Semi Radradra.
